Our name draws its inspiration from the philosophical roots of Plato’s book The Republic and denotes our belief in the power of the people to shape their own destiny. Our name derives its strength from the philosophy of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal and its central theme of the individual’s capacity to transcend to unimaginable heights through the power of self-belief, self-actualisation and perseverance.
Our name also underpins our conviction that our republic – the Republic of Pakistan – is for us more than just land or a political entity; it is in fact our collective identity which shall be shaped in our image outlined for us by our Quaid. The republic is ours to build and ours to strengthen.
At the Republic College we strive to enable our students to acquire this strength.
